Equipment

Braybrook’s are main dealers for Alpine, Becker, Panasonic and Kenwood, amongst others, and have direct distribution channels to Mercedes parts from UK and Europe. From a basic stereo to a complete retrofit parts are available (and many stocked) for any installation.

Braybrook’s are able to retrofit any electrical accessory that was available on a car when it was built as well as often being able to upgrade to newer equipment. Many of our conversions are reputed to be ‘not possible’ by Mercedes and their dealers. We say that “anything is possible”. Occasionally, because of parts costs, these are not always practical but we are always happy to discuss various options.

Planning

Braybrook's discuss with the client to select the appropriate equipment for a project. At this point some initial research may be required by the technicians if a vehicle type is new.

Clients then receive a timing schedule and synopsis of the work to be carried out, and a detailed costing. The sales team arrange a suitable start date with the client and are responsible for maintaining a close contact with clients at every stage of work.



Installation

Braybrook's highly skilled staff cover a whole multitude of skills, including computing, electronics, car electronics, engine systems (for security), vehicle fitting and standard vehicle maintenance.

Whether a CD system is being fitted or a whole navigational system and DVD entertainments centre is being installed, the same skills are applied in varying degrees.

Fitting

Although this is only a part of the overall installation process it is an area that Braybrook's are recognised as being one of the leading exponents in this field.

The utmost attention to detail and quality means all the electronics and cabling are neatly positioned behind the dash boards and placed within the interior fittings on the vehicle (like monitors on head rests with cabling fed through the inside of the car seat) so the original design of the car interior is not compromised. In some cases Braybrook's reconstruct matching fittings to take new hardware.

The best part of all this, is the ability for the Braybrook's to reverse any cosmetic changes made to a vehicle and return it to original condition in the event of clients wishing to change their current vehicle.

Braybrook's long standing clients return time and time again to have systems removed and re-fitted in new cars.

Quality Approval

This involves a checking procedure at various points of the installation and fitting process. Then a final check is made of all the vehicles standard and new electronic systems. Interior fittings are visually checked to make sure everything is fitted neat and tidy, valeted and signed off for release to a client.

Warranty

All of Braybrook’s installations are guaranteed for a minimum of twelve months against any faults (except mis-use of course!) and in the unlikely event that a problem should arise it will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Vehicle warranties are not affected by our work and we work very closely with main dealers to ensure the minimum disruption should warranties cross-over. Some of our Mercedes retrofits can actually be registered with Mercedes so that warranty work can then be handled by any Mercedes dealer across the UK.
